Some couples want their wedding to feel like a scene from a period drama. Jennifer and John were one of those couples. They dreamed up a day inspired by Bridgerton: a historic mansion, romantic purple florals, and elegance in every detail. They found their setting at Linden Place, an estate in Bristol, Rhode Island. Their invitations set the tone for the whole romantic mansion wedding.
For Jennifer, it all started with a vision and some uncertainty about how to reach it. “I was overwhelmed with the prospect of doing [the invitations] myself, and it was amazing to have someone help create the vision I had for our invitations.” Today we’re sharing how that vision came together, from their romantic purple suite to the mansion wedding it introduced!
Setting the Tone with Romantic Wedding Invitations
One of Jennifer’s initial hesitations in working with a stationery designer was “how the process was going to work, particularly when it’s a remote process.” And we totally get it. It can be stressful to trust someone else with something so important. How do you know they’ll fully understand your vision?
“But it was seamless with Heather Paperie! Emily came up with so many thoughtful and beautiful design ideas and was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process.”
Our goal as luxury wedding stationers is to ensure our couples are taken care of. That starts with communication. We walk you through each decision and always send proofs so you can see your suite come together before it goes to print. Then, we refine those proofs until every detail is exactly right.
Throughout the process, Jennifer explored different fonts, floral designs, and monograms until every card was just right. Her favorite part was “seeing the invitations come to life and waiting on new design iterations to review as we worked through creating the invitation vision!”
The final suite was pure romance. Some of our favorite details:
- Lilac envelopes that opened up to a watercolor floral envelope liner
- The J&J monogram framed by a floral crest
- A custom line-art illustration of Linden Place that gave guests a first look at the mansion
“Our invitations reflected the elegant, romantic Bridgerton-inspired mansion wedding vibe we envisioned, with beautiful purple details that tied everything together so perfectly. We could not recommend Heather Paperie and Emily more for anyone looking for beautiful, personalized stationery that truly captures the feeling and vision of your wedding day!”

Bridgerton-Inspired Mansion Wedding at Linden Place
Built in 1810, Linden Place is a Federal-style mansion in Rhode Island. With its stunning spiral staircase, sculpture gardens, and grand ballroom draped in chandeliers, it gave Jennifer and John a backdrop straight out of Bridgerton.

After their ceremony at St. Mary’s Parish, Jennifer and John arrived in style at the mansion in a vintage Rolls-Royce. The bridal party wore lavender gowns and carried dreamy parasols. Inside, the ballroom glowed with candlelight, soft draping, and purple florals that pulled from the same palette as their invitations.
Jennifer and John loved the Linden Place line art illustration from their invitations so much that they licensed it as artwork. We turned it into a matted keepsake for guests to sign, so their names now frame the mansion where they got married. If you love your venue illustration as much as they did, it’s such a great way to keep it around long after your wedding!

Their venue illustration will now hang in their home as a reminder of their big day and their loved ones who attended!
