When Angela and Raymond first came to us, they knew exactly the kind of Cecil Creek Farm wedding they wanted to have: rustic, with a touch of elegance and romance. They loved the idea of an intimate wedding in a barn. Cecil Creek Farm, a family-owned farm in Mickleton, New Jersey, was the perfect place for it. As wedding stationery designers, our goal was to create invitations that perfectly set the tone for their big day.
Today we’re sharing a look at how their elegant invitation suite and wedding all came together. From the autumn-inspired design elements to the adorable horses, you won’t want to miss it!

Elegant Autumn-Inspired Wedding Invitations
From the start, Angela had a specific vision for their wedding invitations: “I’m trying to combine rustic with a bit of elegance and romance. I like simple elegance.”
Her dream wedding suite was neutral with a pop of terracotta. As for the embellishments, she wanted vellum, wax seals, a ribbon or belly band, and elegant script font.
We absolutely love how she drew inspiration from the season (autumn) and from their rustic venue. Whatever your wedding style is, we can coordinate your invitations to match and add to the overall design.

During the first round of designs (below on left), we started with tan envelopes, elegant script font, and vellum with a terracotta belly band + wax seal combination.
After some feedback, Angela and Raymond decided to make a few changes. They wanted a slightly different script font and also decided to opt for an envelope liner (below on right). Heather and I chose this stunning neutral floral design to add some texture to the suite.

Elegant Rustic Cecil Creek Farm Wedding Reception
Angela and Raymond’s invitations were only the start to their beautiful wedding. They began their day with heartfelt ceremony at Church of the Incarnation. Afterward, they gathered with their guests at Cecil Creek Farm.
During cocktail hour, Angela and Raymond snuck away for some private moments. They spent some time taking in the autumn sights of the farm: the grounds, a lovely willow tree and…the horses! Cecil Creek Farm is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the simple things.
Their reception was filled with so many personal touches. Some of our favorites:
- A welcome sign that greeted guests in Spanish
- Their choreographed first dance
- A cute kitten cake topper of their beloved pet
- Wine bottles marked with the date as wedding guest favors
An intimate guest list allowed Angela and Raymond to be present with all their loved ones. Together, it all added up to a warm, personal celebration that felt so very them. Keep reading to see all the beautiful moments from their big day!
