Some weddings just stop you in your tracks. Karla and Joey’s January wedding at Adams Estate is definitely one of them. From the very first consultation, they knew exactly what they wanted: an elevated garden party wedding with soft pastels and romantic floral details. Today we’re sharing everything from their custom invitation suite to all the personal touches that made it truly unforgettable. Keep reading for a peek at this stunning celebration in Lake Alfred, Florida!

Delicate Floral Wedding Invitations for Adams Estate
When Karla and Joey first came to us, they were dreaming of an elevated garden party wedding with a light pastel palette. They wanted their invitations to be traditional to match the formality of their wedding. They also wanted to incorporate dreamy floral designs that would tie in their palette of soft pink, light blue, and pale yellow.
We got right to work designing a romantic wedding invitation suite that would set the tone for their garden party wedding!
When beginning the custom invitation process, we take all the details you told us in the initial consultation and create two designs for you to choose from. These designs work as a great starting point. You might love one of the designs as-is, or you might suggest changes until it feels absolutely perfect.

Karla and Joey loved the first design (left), but wanted to customize it a little further. Instead of a pure white envelope, they chose a light pop of color. They also decided to go with a more botanical crest to tie into their garden party wedding aesthetic. Keep scrolling to see the final result!

We absolutely adore how their suite turned out!
Some of our favorite things about this suite:
- Gold foil press on the main invitation
- Delicate watercolor floral envelope liner
- Silk ribbon and gold wax seal with a floral design
- Formal botanical crest
- Light pops of pastels
Garden Party Wedding at Adams Estate
Getting Ready and First Looks at the Estate House
Karla and Joey both got ready at the Estate House. They took such care to weave meaningful details into their day. An engraved perfume bottle, monogrammed cuffs, and handwritten letters all added special touches to the morning. Karla even surprised Joey with a gorgeous pair of Tecovas and an embroidered hat that said “let me ask my wife.”
They did their first look and private vow reading outside the Estate House. First looks are a wonderful way to spend a private moment with your future spouse and help reduce those wedding day jitters!

Outdoor Adams Estate Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was held outdoors in the Wedding Garden, with stunning views of Lake Alfred. Bright white chairs and columns popped against the lush Florida greenery. Romantic pastel florals lined the brick aisle. And that dreamy Spanish moss? It added the perfect finishing touch to an already breathtaking setting.
Given that it was January, it was a bit brisk and windy. But Karla and Joey didn’t let the weather get in the way of having a beautiful outdoor ceremony. They provided their guests with pink scarves to keep them toasty and fully embraced the lakeside breeze.

Elevated Garden Party Wedding Reception
The reception was held in a luxury tent on the Lakefront Terrace. Enchanting market lighting, gold accents, and a light pastel color palette all added to the garden party wedding vibes. On top of being beautiful, Karla and Joey’s reception was also packed with so many personal touches.
Some of our favorites:
- Live wedding painter
- Postcard guestbook
- His & hers signature drinks
- Photobooth with props
- “Place Your Bets” game
- Choreographed first dance
