When Lauren and Blake began planning their May wedding in Dallas, they knew they wanted the day to feel classic, elegant, and personal. From the start, they envisioned classic letterpress wedding invitations that would reflect the traditional setting of Christ the King Catholic Church and the timeless beauty of Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek. These iconic venues set the tone for a wedding filled with refined details and thoughtful touches.

To bring that vision to life through paper, Lauren and Blake worked with us to create a custom invitation suite and day-of details that felt cohesive, thoughtful, and timeless from start to finish. Today, we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at their stationery process and how it all came together.

The Custom Invitation Design Process

Design Consultation & Mood Board

From the start, Lauren and Blake envisioned something classic and clean. During our consultation, we talked through the overall wedding style. She gravitated toward traditional wording, soft cream tones, and elegant script.

Based on that conversation, we created a mood board that leaned into timeless design, drawing inspiration from formal weddings and tailored paper details. This board helped guide every design decision moving forward.

Invitation Suite Design Options

Next, we presented Lauren and Blake with two invitation suite options. Each one highlighted different styles and fonts while staying true to the classic, elegant aesthetic they were drawn to.

After reviewing both designs, they selected a suite that featured a delicate script font and a soft neutral palette. A custom monogram added a personal element that tied the suite together beautifully.

The Final Design: Classic Letterpress Wedding Invitations

After thoughtful consideration, Lauren and Blake chose the first suite, but with a few beautiful changes. Their final design featured some of the most elegant details:

  • Formal script font
  • Letterpress printing
  • An illustration of their reception venue, Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek
  • Luxurious silk ribbon
  • Custom blind-embossed monogram

Creating a Cohesive Wedding Brand with Stationery

Lauren and Blake wanted their guests to feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrived. To carry their paper details into the reception, we created custom escort cards that added both beauty and meaning to the evening.

Each escort card was a small envelope with the guest’s name printed on the front. Inside, it listed the table number and included space for guests to write a note to the couple. This thoughtful design turned a practical detail into something interactive and personal.

It was a simple way to make the experience feel more connected and special for everyone in attendance.

The Wedding Day

Lauren and Blake’s May wedding in Dallas was the picture of elegance. The ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church was reverent, with Lauren escorted down the aisle in a lace gown and cathedral veil. Afterward, guests made their way to Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek for dinner, dancing, and a night to remember.

The reception featured classic florals by Black House Blooms, candlelit tablescapes, and gold accents that brought romance to the space. Personalized napkins, custom signage, and soft neutral tones throughout the day helped tie everything together.

Every detail reflected the thought and care Lauren and Blake put into the day. It was a joy to be part of their love story.
